Twins belonging to Hyderabad pass in TS Inter first class, aiming to become CA

Twins Veena and Vani from Hyderabad passed the Intermediate examination with first division. In Telangana Intermediate Exam, Veena scored 712 marks out of 1000 with CEC Group (Commerce, Economics, Civics) and Vani scored 707 marks.

Tribal Welfare, Women and Child Welfare Minister, Satyavati Rathod congratulated the twins for their achievements. He also assured the twins that the government would provide all necessary facilities for their higher education.

Veena-Vani expressed happiness over her achievement and wanted to become a Chartered Accountant (CA). Veena secured 9.3 GPA in class 10th and Vani secured 9.2 GPA in 2020.

Veena-Vani was born in 2003 as twins of a couple in Mahbubnagar district of Telangana. His parents refused to take him as they could not treat him. The twins stayed at Nilofer Hospital till the age of 12 and were later shifted to the Government Home.

Doctors attempted to separate the twins, but were unsuccessful. Several medical and surgical experts in India, the United Kingdom and Singapore have examined twins over the years to find a way to separate them.

Earlier it was estimated that the complex process would cost around Rs 10 crore. However, it is risky as his veins are entangled and the operation is yet to be done.
