Earlier today, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta also expressed their anger and disappointment with the horrifying rape and murder case.

Twinkle Khanna took to her Instagram handle on Thursday and penned down a heartbreaking note seeking justice for the Kolkata rape and murder victim. The author and columnist talked about how she has been teaching her daughter, what she was also daughter as a child – not to go out alone.

“Fifty years on this planet, in this country, and I am teaching my daughter the same things I was taught as a child. Don’t go alone – to the park, to school, to the beach,” she wrote. “Don’t go alone with any man, even if it’s your uncle, cousin or friend. Don’t go alone in the morning, the evening and especially not at night,” she continued and then added by saying, “Don’t go alone because it’s not a matter of if, but when. Don’t go alone because you may never come back.”

Twinkle Khanna is not the first celebrity who has expressed anger and disappointment with the horrifying rape and murder case. Earlier today, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta also reacted to the incident. “12 years later, the same story, the same protest. But we are still waiting for change,” Kareena wrote.

On the other hand, Preity Zinta also expressed anger and called the Kolkata rape and murder case “heartbreaking” and “disgusting”. She further mentioned that it was time to prioritize women’s safety and hoped for strict punishments for the accused. “As a woman, I want to say I’m sorry to Nirbhaya, to Moumita and to every girl that has been wronged. I’m sorry I didn’t fight hard enough for you in the past. But not anymore! None of us are safe until all of us are safe,” a part of Preity’s statement read.

Previously, Kangana Ranaut also called the incident “horrible” and demanded a CBI probe into the case. “The murder of a trainee woman doctor at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata is horrible and horrific. The semi-nude body of the woman post-graduate trainee doctor was found inside the seminar hall on Friday morning. She was brutally murdered, and her body bore multiple injury marks. The preliminary autopsy report indicated sexual abuse before her murder. I hope the case is transferred to the CBI for a complete inquiry and the assaulter is punished harshly,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.

Among others, Alia Bhatt, Swara Bhasker and Richa Chadha also expressed their outrage and demanded justice.
