Mumbai: Veteran actor Rajesh Khanna is considered to be the ‘First Superstar’ of Bollywood. One of the highest paid actors of the 70s and 80s, Rajesh Khanna starred in 15 consecutive solo commercially successful films between 1969 and 1971.
Rajesh Khanna made his acting debut with the 1966 film Aakhri Khat, India’s first official entry to the Oscars. After working in more than 180 films in his career, Rajesh Khanna breathed his last on 18 July 2012. The ‘Amar Prem’ actor was reportedly suffering from cancer.

Today his 9. on the occasion ofth On his death anniversary, his daughter Twinkle Khanna shared a video of the late actor and wrote, “I have his eyes, my son’s smile and the world has pieces of him in his heart. He is still alive..”

Rajesh Khanna married Dimple Kapadia in 1973. The couple has two daughters – Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna. Akshay Kumar is her son-in-law as he married his daughter Twinkle. Rajesh and Dimple separated after a few years of their marriage and maintained a cordial relationship.
Talking on the professional front, Khanna was last seen in the 2014 film ‘Riyasat’. The film was released posthumously after his death.
