TVS Motors, one of the leading 2W and 3W manufacturers in India, recently launched a stylish new Black Edition variant with its 160cc twins. Therefore, Apache RTR 160 2V and Apache RTR 160 4V have received this new Black Edition. Prices for this stunning new Black Edition start at Rs 1.20 Lakh (ex-showroom).

TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Black Edition

The classic Apache 160 2V is the most affordable motorcycle in this new Black Edition colour scheme. This new colour is best suited for the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V as it exudes sophistication as well as aggressiveness. With this new shade, the motorcycle looks more stunning.

The new Black Edition complements the existing colour palette with shades including Matte Blue, T-Grey, Pearl White, Gloss Black, Racing Red, and the latest Glossy Black. Black Edition’s overall look is quite stealthy without any stickers to maintain the sophistication of the motorcycle.

The previous Gloss Black shade had some stickers and was never as slick as this new shade. Other than the colour, this motorcycle has not received any mechanical changes. It has retained the 159.7 cc air-cooled SOHC 2V single-cylinder engine that churns out 15.82bhp of power and 13.85Nm of peak torque and is linked to a 5-speed gearbox.

TVS Apache RTR 160 2V carries a price tag of Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The Black Edition is only available with the base model, which has rear drum brakes, forgoes Bluetooth connectivity, and has a skinnier rear tire.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition

TVS is offering the Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition only with the base model, which does not offer Bluetooth connectivity, along with all the new add-ons offered with the special edition, such as adjustable levers and coloured alloy wheels.

Just like the 160 2V, the Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition has also received fewer changes limited to the colour only and the entire motorcycle remains the same. The new Glossy Black shade has now been added to the palette comprising Matte Black, Lightning Blue, Racing Red,  Metallic Blue, and Knight Black. The new Glossy Black looks more elegant and calming in the absence of stickers.

Mechanically, the motorcycle retains the 159.7 cc oil-cooled SOHC 4V single-cylinder engine, generating 17.31bhp of max power and 14.73Nm of peak torque and is connected to a 5-speed gearbox. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V costs Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
