Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said the ‘grand alliance’ government is trying to set up at least one medical college and hospital in every district and is “working tirelessly” to augment the health infrastructure so that people You don’t have to go out of state for better treatment. ,

Interacting with media persons during his ‘Samadhan Yatra’ in Saran district on Monday, he said, “The government is working tirelessly to augment the health infrastructure in the state to ensure that people get the best medical facilities.” Efforts are being made to promote this sector so that the people of the state do not have to go outside for treatment. We are planning to open at least one medical college and hospital in every district to ensure that medical education and facilities are accessible to all.

The JD(U) leader said the government aims that boys and girls of Bihar need not go outside for engineering and medical studies.

CM said, ‘Especially for girls, we have made provision for reservation of seats in engineering and medical colleges of the state.’

The basic objective of the state government is to motivate girls to pursue higher and technical studies, he said, adding that instructions have already been issued to the concerned authorities for timely completion of the construction work of medical and engineering colleges.

Kumar, along with Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and his other cabinet colleagues, also interacted with ‘Jeevika didis’ – women associated with self-help groups under the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project.

The CM asked them to always be vigilant and beware of those trying to violate prohibition and child marriage laws in their areas.

Highlighting the importance of prohibition and the ongoing campaign against social evils like dowry and child marriage, the Chief Minister said that people should come forward to solve these problems.
