Trying to match Baahubali?: Ponniyin Selvan teaser sparks Tamil vs Telugu feud

New Delhi: The much-awaited teaser of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ has hit the internet recently, it has now sparked a war of words among Tamil and Telugu cinema fans, as the film is being compared to SS Rajamouli’s Magnum. Opus, ‘Bahubali’.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha and Jayam Ravi. Aishwarya will be seen in dual roles. She will play the role of Rani Nandini, the princess of Pazhuvoor, who is on a mission to seek vengeance, as well as play Mandakini Devi in ​​the historical drama.

Vikram will play the role of Aditya Karikalan, Karthi will play the role of Vanathiyathevan, Trisha will be seen as Kundavai and Ravi will portray the character of Arunmozhi Varman.

‘Ponniyin Selvan-Part 1’ is a cinematic adaptation of writer Kalki Krishnamurthy’s Tamil novel of the same name, which was released as a series during the 1950s.
