Trio booked for firing on businessman in Gurugram Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurugram: A case has been registered against three persons for allegedly targeting four shops and shooting a shopkeeper in the last two days. The trio targeted three shops one after the other plains looted the area and the shopkeepers gun point. Within 24 hours of the incident the group attacked again and targeted one shopkeeper In Sector 57.
Azad Singh (47) runs a general store in E-Block of Sushant Lok-3 in Sector 57. On Tuesday, Singh was at the shop with his sons Prashant and Pankaj and one of their friends, Ravinder, at around 7.30 pm when the three were masked. The young man entered his shop. One youth took out the pistol and the other youth tried to withdraw money from the cash counter. When he tried to resist, a youth shot Singh and fled the spot.
Singh was taken to W Pratiksha Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Based on his complaint, a case was registered at Sector 57 police station under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 393 (attempt to commit dacoity) and 34 (common intention) and sections of the Arms Act.
A day earlier, the trio had robbed three shopkeepers one after the other at gunpoint in the Maidawas area. Mahavir Prasad runs a grocery shop in Maidawas village for the past few years. On Monday night at around 8.10 pm, three youths reached inside his shop. One of the youths put a gun on his head and took away Rs 30,000 from the cash counter. “Two of them were carrying weapons. They put the money in a bag and fled,” Prasad said.
After carrying out the robbery incident at Mahavir’s shop, the accused went to Ashok’s other grocery shop and escaped with 45 thousand rupees at gunpoint. Then Sajid Khan was running Target’s third shop and fled from his cash counter with around Rs 47,000. Based on the complaint, a case was registered under sections 379A (snatching) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC and sections of the Arms Act.
“It seems like the work of a new group. It is still not clear whether the same group of accused was behind the incident on both the days. Our teams are working to track down the accused,” said ACP ( Crime) Preet Pal Sangwan said.
