Lucknow: Security has been tightened in the entire state. Babri Masjid demolition Anniversary on Monday.
ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that 150 companies of PAC and six companies of central paramilitary forces have been deployed across the state.
He said that special security arrangements have been made in the three cities of the temple namely Varanasi, Mathura and Ayodhya.
Kumar said, “We have held talks and peace with six organizations that were planning to hold protests on the occasion, while the state home department has directed all district police chiefs to avoid any incidents that happened in the past. Do not allow any new program other than events.”
Kumar said the DGP has held several rounds of talks with police officials and directed them to conduct regular security drills and checks at all bus stops, railway stations and district borders, while all senior officers will camp in sensitive districts.
Another senior police officer monitoring the law and order situation in the state said core digital teams have been asked to keep a watch on the messages circulating on WhatsApp in sensitive districts.
The DGP headquarters will monitor sensitive districts like Moradabad, Sambhal, Amroha, Rampur, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Pilibhit, Aligarh, Kasganj, Etah, Muzaffarnagar and Shamli.
