TNUSRB Recruitment 2022: Applications invited for 3,552 posts in Tamil Nadu Police, Class 10 pass can register

Tamil Nadu Uniformed Staff Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has notified the recruitment process to fill 3,552 vacancies in the state police. It includes Grade II Police Constable, Grade II Jail Warden and Fireman posts. Candidates can send their applications online through the official website of TNUSRB at tnusrb.tn.gov.in from July 7 to August 15.

The recruitment will be subject to the existing reservation policy of the Tamil Nadu State Government. In addition, 10 percent of the vacancies are reserved for sports category candidates, 5 percent for ex-servicemen and 3 percent for destitute widows. Whereas for the candidates studying Tamil as the medium of instruction from class 1 to 10, 20 per cent vacancies will be reserved on the basis of preference.

Of the total vacancies notified in the recruitment, 2,180 are in the Police Department, 1,091 in the Investigation Department, 161 in the Prisons and Corrections Department and 120 in the Fire and Rescue Department.

Educational Qualifications: To be eligible for the recruitment, candidates must have passed class 10 or SSLC exam from a recognized education board.

Age Range: The applicant must fall in the age group of 18-26 years as on July 1, 2022. However, the upper limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

TNUSRB Recruitment 2022: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in a multi-stage process consisting of written test followed by physical measurement test, fitness test, fitness competitions and special marks. Candidates need to secure a minimum of 35 percentile in the written test to proceed to the later stages of the recruitment process. The date of written examination will be announced later.
