But the DMK cadre allegedly helped the people leave the marriage hall through a backside door.
In a video, Kavitha Rajan said she and AIADMK candidate Latha’s husband C Thirumugam came to know about the money distribution and hastened to the marriage hall. They locked the marriage hall’s main door and informed police. Kavitha Rajan said that several people had been given cash and other gifts by the DMK inside the marriage hall.
The BJP candidate alleged that she had informed the election officials and police but no one had come there and the DMK continued the distribution.
“We have informed the matter to the election officials and police. But they did not bother about the violation of code of conduct. The general public were seen with booth slips inside the hall,” said Kavitha Rajan.
