Addressing a mega rally at Keshpur in West Midnapore district, Banerjee also made it clear that party supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would consider who would get ticket for the panchayat polls to be held later this year.
TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday said party members who work for their “self-interest” have no future in the organisation, amid sporadic protests by party leaders during a public relations campaign.
Addressing a mega rally at Keshpur in West Midnapore district, Banerjee also made it clear that the party supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Will decide on who will get the ticket for the panchayat elections to be held this year.
“The party’s eyes are on everyone; It clearly knows which village headman is working for the people and who is working for his own benefit. However, those who think that they can continue working for themselves are wrong. Mend your ways or else you will have no future in our party.

On the upcoming rural elections, he said: “Block leaders will not decide the candidature. Mamta Banerjee will decide this. Referring to his oft-repeated phrase “New Trinamool”, the Diamond Harbor MP said the party needs to ensure that it continues to work for the people in the next few years.
“The leader supported by the people will be our candidate,” he said.
Abhishek Banerjee also alleged that goons who once worked for the CPI(M) have now joined hands with the BJP.
