Thane: The Municipal Corporation has gifted a residential flat to a 14-year-old girl who lost her limbs in a railway accident in 2018 at Thane station. Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde announced on Wednesday.
Shinde said that now 17-year-old Rupali More was pushed off a moving train on August 14, due to which she broke her arms and legs. Shiv Sena leaders had offered to help him after the accident and assured him of helping him in education and getting him a permanent home.
A house in Manpada was allotted to him on Wednesday at the convenience of the Thane Corporation.
The teenager said that she aspires to become a doctor and is happy that she has a flat in Thane, where she and her family have been living in a leased property for several years.
