Coimbatore: A power loom worker was murdered by him former employer In Tiruppur District of Tamil Nadu on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old M Balasubramaniam of Sedapalayam. He was unmarried.
Police said 38-year-old K Sundaramurthy was running a powerloom unit eight years ago, where Balasubramaniam and some migrant workers were working. Balasubramaniam instigated other workers to leave and find work in other powerloom units. Sundarmurti came to know about this.

Sundarmurthy, who was facing heavy losses, shut down the powerloom unit. He bought a goods autorickshaw and was engaged in supplying LPG gas cylinders in the area.
Police said Sundaramurthy thought that Balasubramaniam had given the reason for the shutdown of the powerloom unit.
Drunk Sundaramurthy was found on Sunday morning at Sedapalayam bus stop, Balasubramaniam. He got into a fight with her. Enraged, Sundaramurthy attacked Balasubramaniam with a stick.
Balasubramaniam, who suffered an injury on his forehead, was taken to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
Palladam police have registered a case the killing On Sunday evening, Sundarmurthy was arrested after registering a case. He was produced before a judicial magistrate and sent to judicial custody.
Balasubramaniam died without treatment at around 11.30 pm on Sunday. The police changed the case to 302 (murder).
