Amidst increasing cases of Omicron infection, Section 144 has been imposed in Mumbai till December 31, the remaining year. No public gathering, rally or demonstration will be allowed during this period. Apart from this, not more than 5 people will be able to gather at one place. After this action of Mumbai Police, this time the celebration of Christmas and New Year in Mumbai may fade. In order to ensure strict compliance of the rules, a large number of police forces are being deployed in the field, that is, on the streets. Fines will also be imposed on those who roam without masks.

Mumbai Police has said in its statement that only 50 percent people will be allowed to attend any program. Only those people will be able to participate in this, who have got both doses of the vaccine. It has also been said in the order that only people who have been fully vaccinated should be in shops, establishments, malls, programs and meetings. Corona vaccine will also be provided to all the visitors and customers at such places.

According to the Mumbai Police, all public transport will be able to be used only by persons who have been fully vaccinated. All people traveling to Maharashtra must either have both doses of the vaccine, or must have an RT-PCR report done within 72 hours.

238 new cases surfaced
On Wednesday, 238 new cases of corona virus were reported in Mumbai. With this, the number of corona infected has increased to 7,65,934. However, no death has been recorded from coronavirus yesterday. So far the death toll from Corona has reached 16,360. So far 32 cases of Omicron variant have been reported in Maharashtra, which also includes the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Four Omicron infected patients in the state
Four new cases of Omicron, a new variant of coronavirus, have been confirmed in Maharashtra on Wednesday. Two of these patients are from Osmanabad and one each from Mumbai and Buldhana. So far 32 people have been infected with Omicron in the state and out of these, 25 have been cured. The first case of Omicron variant of coronavirus was confirmed in Buldhana. A 67-year-old man who returned from Dubai has been confirmed to be infected with this variant.
