Tiger Shroff calls Heropanti 2 box office performance ‘heartbreaking’: ‘It takes a toll’

It was in April that Tiger Shroff was back on the big screen with Heropanti 2. The action directed by Ahmed Khan was a big budget. Bollywood Film of the week, which also coincided with Baisakhi. Trade analysts were expecting that both the film and its accompanying release Runway 34 might do well. However, both the films gave disappointing performances, especially Heropanti 2 which was largely laid out with all the high octane action sequences. Now Tiger Shroff has spoken openly about the film and its failure.

Tiger, who is in Abu Dhabi for the IIFA event, spoke on the sidelines of PTI and said, “It was definitely heartbreaking. I am very attached to all my films. So if a film doesn’t work, it weighs me down every time. I immerse myself in the work and bounce back. The program must go on.”

The actor has been busy shooting for Ganpath in Ladakh since the promotions of Heropanti 2 co-starring Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He also performed on the IIFA stage. Speaking about it earlier, he had said, ‘I hope people will like it. It’s a highly energetic track that the audience expects from me.”

Tiger Shroff has proved to be a bankable actor. The young star has many hits like the Baaghi series. He will be reuniting with his co-star in Ganpath Part 1 from his debut film Heropanti, Kriti Sanon.

Tiger Shroff was totally out with the promotions of Heropanti 2. He also promoted the film with the viral ‘Chhoti Bachi Ho Kya’ meme from Heropanti. While her friends like Disha and her mother showed support to the actor and loved the film, it seemed the audience rejected it. It made the most money from advance bookings and outperformed KGF: Chapter 2, which released just a week before it.
