Chennai: The Greater Chennai Corporation total deposited Ok 24.63 lakh from dumpers since January 1 till date Garbage and illegally dumping debris in open spaces.
According to a statement issued by the corporation, Rs 12.53 lakh was recovered from those who threw garbage and Rs 12.10 lakh from those who threw debris. The fine was collected under the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2019.
