Three killed in 4.8 magnitude earthquake off Indonesia’s Bali island

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Indonesian island of Bali on Saturday morning, killing at least three people, Indonesia’s search and rescue agency said.

The quake affected Karangsem and Bangli districts on the eastern side of the tourist island and the search operation has been completed, but officials are monitoring the situation, the agency said in a statement.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the 4.8-magnitude quake struck Banjar Wangsian and had a depth of 10 km (6.21 mi).
