New Delhi: Filmmaker Om Raut, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming pan-India project ‘Adipurush’, has been traveling across the country to promote the film along with the cast – Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. However, the filmmaker started trending on the internet after a video of him kissing Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon on the cheek during a visit to Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati surfaced on social media. In the now viral video, Raut is seen kissing Kriti outside the temple premises. The video has created a stir online and left netizens divided.
The video shows Raut planting a goodbye kiss on Kriti’s cheek as she leaves in her car. This did not go down well with some social media users, who started trolling the two. For the unversed, the team of ‘Adipurush’ starring Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan launched the final trailer of the film at a pre-release event held at the Sri Venkateswara University Stadium in Tirupati. The event was attended by ‘Adipurush’ lead actors Prabhas and Kriti Sanon.
Team ‘Adipurush’ unveiled the trailer of the film at Tirumala on 6th June and it turned out to be a great show. Helmed by Om Raut, ‘Adipurush’ is a mythological drama based on the epic Ramayana. The film stars Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Sunny Singh as Laxman. Saif Ali Khan will play the role of the mythological demon king Ravana in the film. The film is set to hit the theaters on June 16 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The final trailer is high on VFX and promises a visual spectacle.

At the first trailer launch of the film, Kriti spoke about how happy she is to have got an opportunity that many actors don’t get. However, their destiny leads to some unfair situations and they get caught in a web of lies. Produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta R Kapoor, the film will be directed by Rajesh Krishnan.
