Spread over more than 10 acres of land, it was once known for the manufacture of cotton clothes. It is said that around 1970, this mill caught fire for some reason and many people got engulfed in its flames.

While Mumbai, the city of dreams, is known for its nightlife, there is a eerie spot in the bustling city where people are afraid to visit even in the morning hours. Located at Colaba, this haunted place is known as Mukesh Mills.

Spread over more than 10 acres of land, it was once known for the manufacture of cotton clothes. It is said that around 1970, this mill caught fire for some reason and many people got engulfed in its flames.

A few years later, another fire broke out in the same mill, and that again led to the loss of many lives. Following this incident, Mukesh Mills was shut down in 1980 and now it has turned into ruins.

After the mill was closed, its owner decided to rent it out for shooting films. Many films were shot here and in a few years the place turned into a popular shooting destination.

Bollywood actor Bipasha Basu had once felt that the place was haunted during the shooting of her film Footpath.

Several other Bollywood actors have also felt the same during their shoots in Mukesh Mills. After several such claims, currently the place has been deserted and shooting has been stopped there.
