This modified Mahindra Thar ‘Badlands Vehicle’ from Noida gets a dry face

The love and appreciation for Mahindra Thar SUV in the Indian market is very strong. The off-roader enjoys cult status in the 4X4 community and is one of the most customized vehicles in the country. It is really difficult to face two examples of Mahindra looking alike. However, it is equally difficult to hit the modified example with the taste of the Indian offroader. Named ‘Badlands Vehicle’, this customized Mahindra Thar is capable of intimidating the road users with its angry face. Tuned by Noida-based Classic Servicepoint, this Thar sports a khaki paint scheme with matte-black highlights.

Up front, it gets a new bumper along with a four-slat grille. Both of these elements are done in a shade of black. In addition to this, the stock headlamps are replaced with aftermarket units that come with circular orange LED DRLs. A pair of LED fog lamps have also been installed on the bumper, and it also gets a metal bash plate to provide additional protection to the radiator. The bonnet now gets vents with a “Badlands Vehicle” sticker, making it Mahindra Seeing Thar.

A set of auxiliary lamps have also been installed on the ceiling. Moving to the side, the most prominent change of all is the new alloy wheels, wrapped in chunky MT-grade tyres. Apart from this, the door hinges and fuel cover have been painted in a black theme. The rear portion has also been tweaked. The tail lamps get piano-black inserts, while the bumper remains an OEM unit.

Whether or not the tuner messed with the powertrain remains unknown. From the factory, Thar is available with two engine options – 2.0L mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engine. Apart from this, there are two gearbox options to choose from – 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.
