Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal was announced by the company last night as the successor of the founder jack dorsey, 37 year old Agarwal IIT Bombay The graduate will get a salary and bonus of $1 million (about Rs 7.5 crore) annually. Twitter said in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In addition to the million-dollar package, Agarwal will also receive restricted stock units worth $12.5 million (about Rs 93.9 crore), vested in 16 equal quarterly increments beginning February 2022.

This comes after Jack Dorsey has been on an annual salary of $1.4 since 2018. Dorsey said the pay is based on his “belief in Twitter’s long-term value creation potential.” Dorsey owns about 2.26 percent of Twitter and holds an 11 percent stake in it. Square Inc, which is worth $ 98.2 billion (about Rs 7,37,900 crore).
Agarwal was named the CEO of Twitter after Dorsey stepped down. Now he joins the ranks of Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, and more Indian-origin tech experts leading big-tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and more. “I look forward to building on what we have achieved under Jack’s leadership and I am incredibly excited by the opportunities ahead,” Agarwal said after his appointment.
