Vishnu Manchu is all set to make a comeback in films.
While Ram Charan excelled in SS Rajamouli-directed RRR, Vishnu Manchu was recently elected as the President of the Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA).
Ram Charan and Vishnu Manchu have become prominent faces in the Telugu film industry. While Ram Charan is the son of legendary actor Chiranjeevi, Vishnu Manchu also belongs to the family of actor-producer Mohan Babu. Both talented actors with equally talented fathers have followed in the footsteps of their parents and made a name for themselves in the cinema world. While Ram Charan excelled in SS Rajamouli-directed RRR, Vishnu Manchu was recently elected as the President of the Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA). Now, Vishnu Manchu is all set to make a comeback in films.
Like Vishnu, Ram Charan has also worked with his father. This achieves the rare record of two famous Telugu stars excelling in their father’s fields. In 2014, Vishnu and his father-actor Mohan Babu starred in Rowdy directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Though the film opened to mixed reviews, the equation of Vishnu and Mohan was well received by the audience.
Later, in 2022, the 41-year-old has again collaborated with director Diamond Ratna Babu for another Telugu-language action drama titled Son of India. This time, he acted as a producer while his father Mohan Babu was in the lead role.
Like Vishnu Manchu, Ram Charan also shared screen space with Chiranjeevi in the 2022 film Acharya. The Telugu-language action drama also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Pooja Hegde and more Mahesh Babu in lead roles. Although there was a lot of buzz around the film, it failed to impress the masses. However, once again the father-son relationship was highly appreciated by the cinematographers.
The RRR actor launched his first production house, Konidela Production Company, in 2016. His first two film productions were Prisoner No. 150 and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Under the direction of Surender Reddy, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which released in 2019, marked Chiranjeevi’s appearance as the lead actor. The epic historical drama, which also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah Bhatia and Kiccha Sudeep in pivotal roles, was widely appreciated by movie buffs.
Currently, Ram Charan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming political thriller RC15, helmed by S Shankar. Meanwhile, Vishnu Manchu’s last film was director Ishaan Suryah’s action comedy Ginna.
