Amidst the concern of the third wave of Corona, the Central Government, taking a big decision on Monday, has imposed a ban on the export of Rapid Antigen Testing Kits (RAT). The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) informed about this change in the export policy. According to the DGFT, the chemicals used in the lab to test the corona will also be under the purview of the ban.

RT-PCR and RAT are being used on a large scale since the early stages to test the virus in the country. RT-PCR is considered better for giving accurate information about the virus. RAT is used to know quick results. However, even after rapid testing of the patient, RT-PCR is considered better for accurate information about the virus.

Kerala will get a package of Rs 267.35 crore from the Center to fight against Corona
The Central Government has announced a package of Rs 267.35 crore for Kerala to fight Corona. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced this during his visit to Kerala on Monday. Mandaviya reached the capital Thiruvananthapuram to take stock of the situation in the state of Corona.

Mandaviya held a meeting with Chief Minister P Vijayan and State Health Minister Veena George and inquired about the state’s preparedness against the pandemic. Mandaviya told that the central government will give all possible help to Kerala to fight the epidemic. The central government has decided to provide Rs 267.35 crore as an emergency covid response package for the health infrastructure of the state.

Mandaviya also met Governor Arif Mohammad. There are currently 1 lakh 79 thousand 155 active cases in Kerala, while 18,601 people have died due to infection.

Vaccination figure in the country crosses 55 crores
The vaccination figure in the country has crossed 55 crores. More than 81 lakh vaccines were administered on Monday. In the 15 days of August, 7.5 crore doses of the vaccine have been administered. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information by tweeting on Monday.
