Former England spinner Graeme Swann is impressed with the way Rajasthan Royals play in the ongoing tournament. Ahead of the high-voltage clash, Swann believes the Sanju Samson-led side is five times better than last season.
“Rajasthan Royals are playing very good cricket at the moment. They look five times better than last year. They have done extremely well in the auction (to put together a strong team),” Swann said on Cricket Live on Star Sports.
Former England cricketer Nick Knight considers Rajasthan Royals to be a very strong side as they have all the resources to make a clinical show in IPL 2022.
“Rajasthan Royals have covered most of their bases. I like the way he starts with the new ball. I love the way they can start off with a bang with Jos Buttler at the top. They have the option of spin in (Ravichandran) Ashwin and (Yuzvendra) Chahal. Then (Shimron) Hetmyer is the finisher. So, I think they have the resources[to make a clinical show],” Knight said.

Meanwhile, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif Kaif has shed light on the struggle of GT wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade for not scoring runs. Speaking with Sportskeeda, the cricketer-turned-commentator said that the time has come for Gujarat to give Wriddhiman Saha a chance in the playing XI.
“They can replace Wade with Gurbaaz K Saha, who has excellent T20 numbers. Normally you don’t change teams and support players when you’re winning. But when you lose a match because of your batting, it is certain that there will be a change.
