These Windows 11 users can now customize themes and emoji on their PC – Times of India

Microsoft has started windows 11 update For users who are enrolled in the Windows Insider Program’s Dev Channel. Build 22504 comes a day after the company released a new media player app that replaces the default Groove Music app in the operating system. With the update, the company is expanding to thirteen themes for the touch keyboard for other input experiences including IME, emoji panel, and voice typing.
A theme engine is also available that allows users to create fully customized themes including background images. Users can find all this under the new “Text Input” section under Settings > Personalization. The feature is currently only available to a limited number of Insider Program participants as the company plans to monitor feedback before sending it out to everyone.
The tech giant has also added the ability to personalize a combination of emoji based on family members’ face and skin colour, couples with hearts, kisses and people holding hands. The Your Phone app also gets a new design with the latest build. The update puts notifications in the Design Center. App also adopts windows 11 design language.
Recently, the company has also added a feature that allows users to share content on their screen directly from the taskbar. During a call through the communication platform, users see a button for screen sharing while hovering over running apps on the taskbar. Users also see options to stop sharing and choose another window by hovering over apps on the taskbar. As of now, the feature is only available with Microsoft Teams, but other platforms like Zoom and Slack can also build the functionality into their apps. This feature is only available to a subset of Windows Insiders that have Microsoft Teams Office or School installed.
