‘There was no way forward’: Digvijay Singh recalls when RSS and Amit Shah helped him and his wife

The senior Congress leader and his journalist wife Amrita had taken the arduous journey of ‘Parikrama’ on foot or ‘Parikrama’ on the banks of river Narmada in 2017.

“Once, we reached our destination in Gujarat around 10 pm. There was no way beyond the forest area and there was no overnight stay,” Singh said during the release of the book “Narmada Ke Pathik” written by his longtime colleague OP Sharma.

Singh told the audience, “A forest officer came, and you would be surprised to know that he told me that Amit Shah had instructed him to cooperate fully with us.”
