There has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for more than 3 weeks. Check fuel rates in your city

On Thursday, November 25, Petrol and Diesel Prices remained stable across the country, as no change was observed in fuel prices. Prices of both the auto fuels remained unchanged for the 22nd consecutive day on Thursday after the central government slashed excise duty on November 4 to bring down retail rates from a record high. Excise duty on petrol was reduced by Rs. 10 per liter on liter and diesel on November 3, giving consumers much respite from record-high retail fuel prices.

With the cut of November 4, the price of petrol in Delhi has gone up to Rs 103.97 per liter and the price remained the same as on November 25. Diesel rate also remained unchanged, as per the price notification by state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs). 86.67 per liter.

At present, a liter of petrol in Kolkata costs Rs 104.76 and a liter of diesel costs Rs 101.56 per litre.

Notably, international crude oil rates have remained stable as investors remain bullish on the effectiveness of US-led oil releases from their strategic reserves. Currently, Brent crude was trading 0.1 per cent higher at $82.78 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were down 11 cents, or 0.14%, at $78.39.

Following the central government’s decision, several states, mostly ruled by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and allies, have reduced VAT charges, but fuel rates continue to retail above Rs. 100 points in most Indian cities.
