‘Theatre doesn’t differentiate caste or religion’: Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram has hit the theaters and the film is receiving positive reviews from all quarters for its thrilling elements. At a recent event during the promotion, Kamal spoke about his love for theatre.

Kamal said that theater seems like a great place for him. According to Kamal, theater does not differentiate between a person’s caste and religion. The superstar hoped that Vikram would be appreciated by the audience and they would visit theaters in large numbers to watch it.

Vikram narrates the story of Amar, Santhanam, Karnan and a masked man. The plot of the film revolves around a cocaine container which goes missing and is followed by some murders. Amar takes over the reins of the case and goes undercover with his investigative team. While investigating, Amar comes to know about Karnan and the masked person.

Santhanam is a ruthless drug peddler who wants this container. How do Amar, Santhanam and Karnan cross each other’s paths? What does Karnan want? Will Karnan be able to fulfill this objective? The answers to these questions will be found in Vikram.

Fahad Faasil plays the character of Amar. Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of Santhanam. The character of Karnan is played by Kamal. Apart from these three actors, Gayatri, Shivani Narayanan, Antony Varghese, Narayan, Chemban Vinod Jose and others are also a part of this film.

Vikram is bankrolled by Rajkamal Films International. Vikram’s music composed by Anirudh Ravichander has won the hearts of the audience. Surya’s cameo is also being praised. However, the film was criticized for its long run.

Seeing Vikram’s impressive performance, reports are doing the rounds that it can easily earn Rs 60-65 crore today. Some said that it can collect Rs 130-140 crore in the weekend, others also said that Vikram can even cross the total of Rs 150 crore in the first three days.
