Kohli scored 27 of his Test hundreds in 141 innings, including the century that came in November 2019 during the day-night Test against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

On Saturday, the fourth day of the final Test against Australia, Virat Kohli scored his 28th century in Test cricket. The spectators in Ahmedabad were overjoyed to see the former Indian skipper score a century in the longest format of the game after 3 years 3 months and 18 days, which is indeed a long time.

Kohli scored 27 of his Test hundreds in 141 innings, including the century that came in November 2019 during the day-night Test against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. But he had to wait 42 innings to score 28 runsth Which is also the 75th of his international career. Kohli brought up his century in 241 balls in Ahmedabad, his second slowest ton after his ton against England in 2012/13 series off 289 balls.

Kohli may have celebrated the feat quietly, but social media went on fire when he raised his bat on the field Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday. Be it fans or people from the cricket fraternity, everyone was happy for Kohli’s milestone.
