In an upcoming book about Marvel Studios, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has revealed that there was a point when he felt the producers were isolating him from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the new behind-the-scenes book titled “The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe” by Tara Bennett and Paul Terry, Hemsworth shares that during the filming of Captain America: Civil War, his exclusion from the script This leads him to think that he is being written off from the MCU.

In the 2016 film, Hemsworth, who played Thor in the MCU, had no role to play, even though there were other important superhero characters such as Iron Man, Captain America, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Vision, Black Widow. Considering all the major Marvel superheroes to be a part of the film, Hemsworth certainly felt that they were being neglected. Sharing his reaction to the book, Hemsworth mentioned, according to Digital Spy, “I remember I was on the Age of Ultron press tour, and everyone was talking about the Civil War. I was like, What is Civil War? ? Are you doing a side-project or something?”
Hemsworth is then quoted as saying, “They’re like, ‘Oh no, Captain America, you know? Next is Civil War.’ I’m like, ‘Wait… is Iron Man in that?’ And it’s like, ‘Yeah, but there’s not just Iron Man. There’s Vision. There’s Spider-Man.'” After learning about the project, Hemsworth confronted Marvel Studios. Hemsworth mentioned that he left the studio. asked what he would do instead, and was told he would do his own thing. However, Hemsworth thought “That’s it. I am being written.” The book is mentioned.
