Greater Noida: in Video In what has been widely shared on social media platforms, a woman can be seen thrashing a man, who she said was stalking her for a few months.
In the 21-second long clip, the woman, in her twenties, can be seen holding the accused by the collar and kicking him in the legs. He has alleged that on Sunday near Jewar intersection, a person named Kuldeep had made objectionable remarks on him. The incident has been recorded by a local resident.
According to the police, the Class XI student was returning home to a doctor and was standing at a mobile shop in Kuldeep area.
“The woman said that the accused had seen her for the first time a few months back at the vegetable market. Since then, he has been following her and teasing her,” said Jewar SHO Umesh Bahadur. After the man again made some lewd remarks on Sunday, the woman started beating him. A passerby informed the nearest police post and a team reached the spot.
The SHO said that they have received a complaint from the woman and will register an FIR against Kuldeep under section 354D (chasing) of the IPC.
Police said the man is a resident of Jewar and works at a mobile repairing shop in Haryana’s Palwal.
