The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Monday referred to a purported order issued by the Varanasi District Magistrate directing health workers to see the prime minister. Narendra Modiprograms in the district on television and other mediums.

Dhupchandi claimed that the doctors were forced to leave their jobs and watch the programme. In a tweet in Hindi, he said, “Now the BJP government has felt the need to narrate the Prime Minister’s speech to the doctors.”
Later, the SP leader told PTI, “The Prime Minister does not want to listen to public opinion, but wants to impose his views on them. If anyone does not want to hear Modi’s speech, then the BJP government will have to issue it. orders them to listen to his speech. Congress leader Ramsudhar Mishra said, “The employees of the Health Department shutting down their work and watching the Prime Minister’s speech compulsorily shows the dictatorship of the Modi government.
