According to municipal sources, many markets in the city need improvement. However, due to the financial crisis, it was not possible for the municipality to carry out such reforms. Initially, the municipality held a meeting regarding the maintenance expenses of the shopkeepers. Mayor of Market Department Amir Uddin Bobby participated in the meeting. Municipal Commissioner Binod Kumar, Marketing Officer Mukul Ranjan Barui and other dignitaries. Along with this, members of the market committee of all the markets were present in the meeting. The members of the market committee have been asked to take a decision on the matter after consultation among themselves.
