The Rajasthan government allocated portfolios to ministers; CM Gehlot kept home, finance and IT and communication

A day after fifteen ministers were sworn in in the much-awaited expansion, the Rajasthan government on Monday allocated portfolios to the ministers of the reconstituted cabinet. A government statement said that CM Ashok Gehlot has kept the ministries of Home, Finance and IT and Communications with him.

Of the 15 ministers, five are believed to be from the camp of Congress leader and former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot, who rebelled against Gehlot’s leadership in 2020. Medical and health department has been allotted to Parsadilal Meena while Lal Chand Kataria has been allotted to Agriculture department.

The 11 cabinet ministers include three — Mamta Bhupesh, Bhajan Lal Jatav and Tikaram Julie — who have been promoted from minister of state (MoS) to cabinet rank, while two — Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena — are the ones who were sacked for revolt last year. was done. Re-inducted as cabinet minister.

Hemaram Choudhary, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya, Ramlal Jat, Mahesh Joshi, Govindram Meghwal and Shakuntla Rawat were also sworn in as cabinet ministers. Zahida, Brijendra Singh Ola, Rajendra Gudha and Murari Lal Meena were sworn in as ministers of state.

Apart from the Chief Minister, there are now 19 cabinet ministers and 10 state ministers in the council of ministers in the Congress government in Rajasthan. Chief Minister Gehlot and members of his council of ministers were present at the swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan.

Meanwhile, six MLAs, including three independents, have been appointed advisors to CM Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan, hours after 15 ministers took oath in the cabinet expansion. The Congress MLAs who have been appointed as advisors are Jitendra Singh, Rajkumar Sharma and Danish Abrar.
