Surat: A 42-year-old man was stabbed to death by his cousins ​​after fighting over a petty issue on Saturday afternoon. render Police is investigating the matter by registering a case of attempt to murder against the four accused.
According to the police, Iqbal Syed lives with his family in Paliawad near New Anjum School in Rander area and works as a driver. His family had some dispute with his cousin abdul Rehman alias Saddam Sayyed, who lives in the same locality. On Saturday around 12 noon, Azharuddin, Iqbal’s brother, who works at a sari shop, got a call from his wife and told that Iqbal was fighting with Abdul near their house. He also asked her to come home immediately.
When Azharuddin reached home, he came to know that the fight had started from the street, when both of them first wanted to get out of their respective vehicles. Iqbal was passing Abdul’s place on his motorcycle when Abdul asked him to take his bike aside as he wants to go out with his tempo first. This started a verbal duel and later Abdul and his associate beat Iqbal with a wooden stick.
After this incident, Iqbal along with his brother Azaruddin and other friends gathered for a settlement near Teen Batti. Meanwhile, Abdul and his accomplices came in a car and started attacking them. In the scuffle, the accused stabbed Iqbal with a sword and fled the spot.
