Ashish is in jail since April 24
The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court had granted bail to Ashish on February 10, after which the Kisan Paksha reached the Supreme Court. It was told in the court that without hearing their side, the High Court gave its decision on this matter. On April 18, the Supreme Court had canceled the bail while giving its verdict. Ashish Mishra, the main accused of Tikunia violence, is in jail since April 24, 2022.

In this high profile case, how the High Court gave the decision of bail, it was not being embraced by anyone. After the lawyer’s argument, the High Court had said, “Even if we accept the arguments of the prosecution, it is clear that there were thousands of protesters at the spot.” In such a situation, it is possible that the driver drove the car to escape and this incident happened. Two ongoing cases in Tikunia violence, Ashish accused in one
In the first case registered in Tikunia violence, the SIT had filed the charge sheet in the CJM court on January 3. On January 10, the case went to the sessions court. After this, the SIT filed a charge sheet in the CJM court on January 21 in the second case of the Kheri case. On February 1, this case also went to the sessions court. In this way both the cases came to the court of District Judge Mukesh Mishra.

On March 3, March 16, March 30 and April 12, both the cases were heard together. On April 12, the judge decided to hear both the cases separately. In one of these two, Ashish Mishra is the main accused, whose hearing is going on today.

Was granted bail on February 10

Ashish Mishra was in jail for 129 days
The Allahabad High Court had on February 10 granted bail to Ashish Mishra. Ashish was released from jail after 129 days on February 15. Let us tell you that on October 3, in Tikunia of Lakhimpur Kheri, there was a ruckus during the farmers’ movement. Three vehicles went away crushing the protesting people. A total of eight people, including four farmers, had died in the incident. The family of the farmers who were crushed to death by the car has filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

What happened in Lakhimpur?
A large number of farmers were demonstrating in Tikuniya village, adjacent to the Nepal border, about 70 km from Lakhimpur district headquarters, at around 3 pm on October 3, 2021, when suddenly three vehicles (Thar Jeep, Fortuner and Scorpio) trampled the farmers.
