The meeting of the Union Council of Ministers is likely to be held at 4 pm today

The next meeting of the Union Council of Ministers is likely to be held at 4 pm on Tuesday at Sushma Swaraj Pravasi Bharatiya Bhavan. This will be the fifth meeting of the Union Council of Ministers (78 members) after the reshuffle and expansion on July 7.

In the last such meeting held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 14 and 28 at the sprawling Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Center, he had asked all ministers to ‘car pool’ at the venue so that there could be better coordination.

During the September 14 meeting, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan gave presentations on efficiency and time management.

After the meeting, sources had said that it was more like a ‘chintan shivar’ (brainstorming session) and more such sessions would be organized to further improve governance.

Presentation was given on the implementation and monitoring of various projects in the meeting of 28 September. Sources familiar with the developments said that the two ministers gave presentations on the implementation of various projects.
