Just a week away from the grand release of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, the makers of the action entertainer are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the word reaches everyone. Recently, a new promo featuring the evergreen Panchantathiram cast promoting Vikram has been shared by the makers to keep the buzz around the film alive.
For the promo, the cast of Panchantathiram reunited after two decades to promote the Kamal Haasan-starrer. In the latest promo of Vikram, the lead actors of the comedy flick Panchantathiram—Jayram, Yugi Sethu, Ramesh Aravind, and Sriman, who is Kamal Haasan’s friend in the film, re-enact the iconic conference call scene from the KS Ravikumar-directed classic. ,
Sharing the promo via his Twitter handle, Vikram director Lokesh Kangrajan wrote, “Happy to see my all-time favorite #Panchantathiram gang back in action… it’s not Ram it’s #Vikram”

The cult classic Panchantathiram, which was released in 2002, opened to rave reviews and emerged as a blockbuster hit. Written by Kamal Haasan and Crazy Mohan, the film starred Kamal Haasan, Jayaram, Ramesh Aravind, Sriman, Yugi Sethu, Simran and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles. Apart from this, Urvashi, Aishwarya, Sanghavi, Vidya Venkatesh, Devyani and Nagesh are also playing important roles in the film.
Talking about Lokesh Kanagaraj’s promising action thriller, the film stars Shivani Narayanan along with Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, and Kalidas Jayaram, Narayan, Antony Varghese and Arjun Das in supporting roles.
Directed by Kamal Haasan’s production house, Raj Kamal Films International, the film’s music and background score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Vikram is set to release in cinemas across the world on June 3.
On the work front, Kamal Haasan has Indian 2 directed by S Shankar. Directed by Alliraja Subhaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions, Indian 2 is a sequel to S Shankar’s 1996 film Indian.
