‘The Kashmir Files’ director Vivek Agnihotri gets ‘Y’ category security cover

new Delhi: Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has been in the news recently after the release of his much-acclaimed film ‘The Kashmir Files’. The director is getting a lot of appreciation for beautifully portraying the suffering of Kashmiri Pandits, who had to flee their homeland during the Kashmir insurgency.

Despite the film receiving much critical acclaim, a large section of the audience has labeled the film based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits as a propaganda film with the interests of the ruling government, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Vivek Agnihotri, who wrote and directed the film, has now got a ‘Y’ category security cover by the government, as all the hate speeches are being propagated after watching the film.
