On December 18, both of them completed the engagement ceremony by wearing rings to each other in the presence of family and friends.

The ceremony was accompanied by haldi, mehendi and sangeet along with Bengali and Punjabi traditions.
Supriyo is in the hotel management line. He is also associated with the field of education. Supriyo and Abhay shared pictures from the bachelors party on social media before the ring ceremony. Both were wearing the tag of ‘Groom to be’.
Then Abhay sang the song ‘Aaye Ho Mere Zindagi Mein Tum Bahar Banke’ for Supriyo. Sophia David, who belongs to the LGBTQ community, got married. Punjabi and Bengali rituals were performed in this marriage. It is being told as the first same sex marriage of Telangana.
