A very surprising case has come to light from Thane, Maharashtra. Here a father-in-law shot his daughter-in-law just because he had not served her breakfast with tea at the right time. The woman has been shot in the stomach and has been admitted to the ICU in a serious condition. The accused had fled after the incident, though the police arrested him.
The incident took place in Rabodi area of Thane. Police officer Santosh Ghatekar of Rabodi police station said that a case has been registered against the 76-year-old accused under sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 506 of the IPC, in addition to the Arms Act. According to Ghatekar, the accused has confessed to his crime and told that he often used to fight with his 42-year-old daughter-in-law over petty issues. The same thing happened on Thursday at 11:30.
Father-in-law got angry for not giving breakfast with tea
According to the victim’s family, when their daughter did not provide breakfast with tea, the accused got angry. He then took out his revolver and shot the daughter-in-law, injuring her. Other family members have taken him to a nearby hospital for treatment. Ghatkar said that the police was ascertaining whether the father-in-law had done the attack due to some other provocation.
