The name of advocate Sandeep Moudgil for promotion as HC judge was cleared by the Center on September 29. Presently their names are pending before the central government for final decision.
However, the source clarified that the Center has approved their names and formal orders regarding their appointment will be issued soon. Meanwhile, sources High Court Administration It also said that the oath ceremony of the new judges could be held on Friday or Monday.
Presently only 45 judges are functioning in the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the sanctioned strength of judges in the High Court is 85.
