Pradyuman Bapat, Founder and CEO, Cast India, said, “Since the launch of CastIndia.in on 4th February, we have had over 800 registrations from candidates and 35 employers within a fortnight. There are currently over 100 openings available.”
The son of a senior Air Force officer, Bapat started his career as an advertising professional with a clean slate. His enthusiasm for the world of movies and television made him realize that there was a way to catapult himself among the bigwigs in the advertising industry.
He said, “Cast India aims to reach out to multi-talented professionals in urban and rural geography and provide them with an ideal platform where they can showcase their talent which can be seen by the world.”
During his decade long experience in the industry, Bapat realized that finding a suitable candidate was a daunting task. “The platforms available, to find the right talent, were not industry-specific, either recruitment portals or casting agencies. I faced the same challenges and obstacles that my predecessors faced, and continue to face them today. I interacted with professionals in various fields, and realized, these problems are faced by everyone in many industries. Having understood these problems, I felt the need for a platform where one could receive, deliver, execute and deliver jobs or projects that could potentially resolve the issues. By coming up with something that can not only give or get jobs but also help people connect and interact with each other, the idea of Cast India came into vogue,” he explained.
He recalls that the early years were full of struggle and he was always greeted with kindness and compassion from those around him. He was always looking for ways to counteract it in some way or the other. Says Bapat, “I wanted to create a cast India with the thought of giving back to the society because I believe that good people make the project output better.”
He hopes that through the platform, he will be able to help the people of the industry in the same way that people helped him during his struggling days.
His partner Pulkit Jain, who is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), describes Cast India as a service-oriented platform that will provide services both ways; physical and digital. He says that unlike other digital platforms, Cast India focuses more on local talent.

According to statistical analysis, the advertising industry is expected to grow by 11%, media, film and television are expected to see a growth of 9%, the public relations (PR) sector to grow by 10.50% and the event industry to grow by 2024. up to 11%. This growth will create opportunities for the candidates in the market.
