Thane: Thee Thane Municipal Corporation Less than 100 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Saturday.
A total of 96 persons tested positive for Covid-19 during the day, taking the lake town’s caseload to 1,34,335.
Two persons succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll to 2,036.
On the other hand, 106 patients were cured and discharged and the total number of cured in Thane now stands at 1,31,288.
There are currently 1,011 active cases in the city.
Out of the total cases reported on Saturday, 23 cases were maximum. belonged to majiwada, then from 17 Vartak Nagar and from 16 Uthalsar.
11 cases were reported in Naupada-Korpi ward, while eight in Kalwa, six new cases were reported in Lokmanya Nagar. Savarkar Nagar ward, four inches Wagle And three in Diva.
The seven persons who tested positive were not from Thane jurisdiction and their addresses are yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Thane will continue to follow Level-3 unlock restrictions till July 19, the civic body informed.
