Thane: Labourer dies after falling off fourth floor of under-construction building in Ulhasnagar | Thane News – Times of India

ULHASNAGAR: A labourer died after falling off the fourth floor of an under-construction residential tower in Ulhasnagar in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Thursday.
The deceased Raju Panchal (42) had a fall off Heritage Heights while working at a site situated near Asha Hospital around 9.45am.
The other labourer working at the site informed the contractor who later called up the local Central police station.
The central police have registered an accidental death report and are probing if the labourer was provided adequate safety measures at the construction site or not.
The police sources said while other labourers had been working earlier, Panchal was working at site for the last seven days.
Madhukar Kad, senior police inspector of central police station, said, “So far we have registered an accidental death report and further probe is on.”
