KALYAN: A BEST driver committed suicide by jumping in front of the Deccan Queen with his four-year-old son at Vithalwadi railway station on Wednesday. The son escaped without a scratch even as the entire train passed over him.
The deceased was a resident of Ulhasnagar.
The CCTV footage at Vithalwadi station captured the incident. The footage shows the man standing with his son at the station and waiting for the train. It shows him forcing his son to stay with him as the child tries to flee from his clutches. As the train approaches, the man jumps before it with the boy at 6.08pm
Valmik Shardul, senior police inspector of Kalyan GRP said the man’s body was cut into pieces.
