Thane: Both doses of Covaxin and Kovishield vaccines will be available for beneficiaries above the age of 18 years within the limits of COVID-19 vaccination centres. Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) on Thursday.
All the centers will operate between 10 am to 4 pm. TMC informed that only three centers have been identified for online slot booking.
The Thane Municipal Corporation’s health department has informed that there will be no COVID vaccination campaign at some health centers on Thursday as these centers will have regular check-ups of pregnant women and health camps for children.
The Health Department has appealed to the citizens to cancel the Kovid vaccination campaign at Anand Health Center, Azad Nagar Health Center, CR Wadia Hospital, Gandhi Nagar Health Center, Kajuwadi Health Center, Kharegaon Health Center, Kisan Nagar Health Center in Thane Municipal Corporation. Centre, Kopri Maternity Hospital, Kopri Health Centre, Majiwada Health Centre, Manorama Nagar Health Centre, Manpada Health Centre, Naupada Health Center, Savarkar Nagar Health Centre, Vartak Nagar Health Center,Uthlasar Health Center and Laxmi Chirag Nagar Health Center.

Covaxin will be administered at three immunization centers – TMC Thane Global Hub 1 (1st and 2nd dose), TMC Thane Global Hub 2 (1st and 2nd dose) and TMC Post COVID Center 2 (second dose only). It may be noted that online slot booking is not required at TMC Post COVID Center 2 to get the jab.
Those who took their first dose of the vaccine on August 4 are now eligible for their second dose.

TMC Post COVID Center 1 and TMC Kausa HC (ATC) 1 will administer only the second dose of vaccine for people above 18 years of age. A special walk-in session has been organized at these centers for students who are going abroad for higher studies as well as for those traveling for professional reasons.
TMC Yeyur Health Center Have organized a special session for 18 years and above and only for tribals.
TMC Parking Plaza and TMC CSMH will distribute the first and second doses of Covishield to teachers, healthcare and frontline workers on Thursday.
The civic body said that all the centers will give preference to disabled citizens, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
Meanwhile, 77 new Kovid-19 cases were reported in Thane city on Wednesday.
