Thane: A 42-year-old man died after a container came under the wheels of him in Thane’s Majiwada area on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Anil Kumar, was taken to CSM Kalwa Hospital and was declared brought dead on arrival.
The accident took place at Majiwada Junction at around 3 pm. Regional Disaster Management Cell ,RDMC) NS Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).
The container was going from Panvel to Gujarat.
An RDMC official said, “It is suspected that the bike rider lost control. He fell on the road and came under the wheels.”
Some onlookers informed the RDMC, following which an emergency tender was sent to the spot and the victim was rescued from the bottom of the container.

An RDMC source said that due to the accident, traffic was disrupted and congestion was witnessed for sometime.
