Thalapathy Vijay fans may soon have another reason to celebrate as the Leo star has reportedly signed his next film. If reports are to be believed, the Varisu actor will next be directed by Mankatha fame Venkat Prabhu in an untitled project. Titled Thalapathy 68 for now, the yet-to-be-announced drama has already grabbed headlines. The rumor spread after a picture of the star with the director surfaced on social media.
As soon as the post appeared on the internet, netizens shared their excitement in the comments section. For those who are not in the know, it was earlier believed that young producer Atlee would be turning director for the film. As the film has not been announced yet, not much information is available at the moment.
Furthermore, the buzz also suggests that the Beast actor is likely to team up with actor and director Gopichand Malineni as well. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.

The makers have already started shooting for the much-awaited drama and have also wrapped up a long schedule in Kashmir. Apart from the protagonist, Leo’s cast includes some big names like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, Mysskin and Mansoor Ali Khan.
Trisha Krishnan will reportedly be seen sharing screen space with Thalapathy Vijay after a long gap of 14 years. The two were last paired together in the 2008 drama Kuruvi. Music director Anirudh Ravichander is providing background score and songs for the film, which is expected to hit the cinema halls by October this year.
