Texas officials have launched a search for an armed teen who opened fire inside a high school in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on Wednesday morning, injuring four and terrifying students as barricaded chairs in front of the door. And prompted the desk to pile up.

Police are looking for 18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins, the alleged gunman at Timberview High School in Arlington. He is believed to have moved to the 2018 Silver Dodge Charger.

Investigators said a fight broke out in a classroom, causing the suspect to open fire.

Local police, federal law enforcement officials and fire department personnel responded to Timberview High School this morning.

Three people were taken to the hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is not yet known.

A woman posted a video clip on social media of her daughter, who is purportedly said to be a student. In the clip, students are seen running from their seats after hearing a loud bang.

Officers will be present on the spot. The students will eventually be taken to that place once the school is completely secure.

Transportation officials said drivers should expect delays on State Highway 360 near Debbie Lane.

The southbound SH 360 exit ramp for Debbie Lane is closed at this time.
